The Markets will remain positive for June 2009: A little worry though

by Hemz on May.29, 2009, under Indianomics

It was two horrific news with a good one. What a combination you may ask?

The first and obvious story that captured the headlines were the racism attacks on Indians in Australia. That followed with the news that Oil prices will be de-regulated which means that things could go costlier in future.

However, it may just be good that it will happen. The reforms was what was expected of Congress and they are bang on it! It also may turn out to be good for the economy overall. Because that inflation can grow up from here and this will help the country to be back on the fast track out of recession in general.

The Good news from a cell phone user point of view was that Minister A. Raja said that he wished the Telephonic rates to come down to 10 paise for local calls and 25 paise for STD calls. What the government has dones is done a small harm with even smaller good.

This can spell doom for mobile telephonic companies profit margins, but then they will have to resort to VAS for earnings. This is a bit tricky one which may not necessarily boost healthy competition. Instead, I forsee mobile companies getting too agressive with VAS and customer will be bombared with calls and SMSes ignoring privacy and Do Not Disturb facility.

These news’ will have its effect on the Sensex and how! I stand by my prediction on Sensex crossing 16K by June end which I had posted earlier on my Blog. Trade safe, dont be aggressive in your investment decisions.

Patience is the key

by Hemz on May.28, 2009, under Personal

To all my readers, I have been going through a very busy schedule and hence am not able to post. Writing a post requires brain to function and after hectic hours of the day, the frantic meetings, and time less hours behind the camera to shoot perfectly and getting emotions right, you cannot expect my brain to work properly. Oh, by the way I got this video work recently. Though temporary, it gives me another area to learn more about and get hands on experience. Some one at office just told me that now am a pukka director sorts. I was nice to hear that, but a very tire some job to do. To add to this the daily job that you do also has to happen which blankly means late hours and sleepless nights. Another day of my life. Good night.

Its my favorite team in Finals: I just love the moment

by Hemz on May.23, 2009, under Cricket, Formula1, Sports

Having been considered as this year’s back benchers, Royal Challengers pulled up their socks and now are in the finals of the second edition of IPL.

To be frank, I lost interest when they were on the waining way in the initial days and was not eager to watch the IPL matchs. When the news started ringing that they can be in the Semi’s is when I got on!

Say the Mallya affect. I am a fan. I love both of his teams, my first love being the Formula 1. (continue reading…)

The Google Power: Mapping the Consumption, suggesting saving

by Hemz on May.22, 2009, under Indianomics

Wow, that it now finally has happened is really a good news. Google’s non-profit arm, Google.org now has announced that it, along with Power utility companies now will put an online power consumption report that will tell consumers their power usage, and ways to save power in an initiative that helps in reducing the Carbon Foot Print.

Compete with Neighbours and Friends?

That sounds really interesting. Yea, now you can strike up a little competition with your neighbour to win a friendly race in saving power or to put it google way, using your power efficiently. (continue reading…)

Open hated messages in Train

Open hated messages in Train

I was shocked to see a message like this! It is usual to find graffiti on the Mumbai local train. I boarded the Kalyan fast from Byculla at 8.37 pm when I was on the way to my home. Unfortunately I was not carrying my deo, with which I would have removed this otherwise.

I am used to see some of graffiti on the inside of locals and those generally are of funny nature where friends write their names, sometimes their crushes or lovers names often. At times, it evens goes to an extent of giving numbers of call girls and boys! I ignore them since these are not those that hurt me bad.

But this one was different, it was disturbing and it was painfull. Who would have this kind off problem with Sonia Gandhi and Muslims? What wrong did they do? Is not India a free, democratic country for anybody having the right to follow their own religion?

It was done by someone who was saddened by the victory of Congress in the General Elections, 2009! Is some one really inspired by what Varun Gandhi said??? That is why he have been booked, but that is done more harm than good. Isnt it?

Why are these brothers of ours against us living peacefully in our own country? Without any differences in caste and creed, there are a lot of Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikh, Jains, Buddhists and others who take these trains everyday which gives India and its very financial capital with their man hours!

Why do you want to create a stirr again. Mumbai has left everything behind and has always looked forward to what the future beholds.

I would request one and all and specifically those who travel in these locals, do not go by them. If you can use a bit of your deodrant what you carry everyday to just remove these horrible message with a peice of rough paper, we can remove these messages. Deodrants work!

Make it clean, in the trains and our lives. Let’s pledge!
